 Key information for the online meetings

What you need to know for participating in the online meeting of the OEWG42,  14, 15 and 16 July 2020

  • To join the online meetings: click on the link https://interprefy.interpret.world/login=S-OEWG.14-1607s You will receive an email that contains a code. Use th​is code to access the online meetings. The same code will also provide access to the quality assurance test sessions. ​

    IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR THE MEETING, INTERPREFY WILL NOT GRANT YOU ACCESS TO THE ONLINE SESSIONS 

    NB: Please connect at least 15 minutes in advance in order to solve any technical challenges you may face​ 

    WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU USE GOOGLE CHROME OR FIREFOX TO OPEN THE LINK. APPLE SAFARI BROWSER IS NOT SUPPORTED

  • Login details: When logging in you will be asked to complete the fields for your username (details on point 4 in the instruction sheets below​).

    • For PARTIES, name should be filled by country/pa​rty, then your full name, for example:
      Username: Germany – John Smith

    • For OBSERVERS, the organization's name should be added as a prefix, for example:
      Username: Daikin - James Brown

      NB: it is important that this system of registration is adhered to

  • Test session timings: a number of test sessions will be held on 29 June to 1 July. For precise timings see the timetable on the OEWG42 portal

  • Test session format: Participants can join any test session but if there are too many people, then you may need to queue. The test sessions will be run in English only

    NB: it is important that you participate in the test sessions to solve any problem you may have before the online meeting

  • Online meeting: the online technical meetings will be held on 14 to 16 July.

    • Session 1: will begin at 6 p.m. (Nairobi time) on Tuesday, 14 July 2020, a time convenient for the countries in zone 1.

    • Session 2: will begin at 12 noon (Nairobi time) on Wednesday, 15 July, a time convenient for the countries in zone 2.

    • Session 3: will begin at 8 a.m. (Nairobi time) on Thursday, 16 July, a time convenient for the countries in zone 3.

  • Online meeting requirements:

    • Headsets are advisable for clearer audio

    • Only registered participants can ask a question via audio or the chat panel. To request permission, click on the green hand icon. When appropriate, the Co-Chairs will grant you video and audio access to the floor

    • The event chat panel box can be used to submit written questions visible by all. To chat privately, click the arrow to the right of the delegate's name

  • Technical issues: in case of any issues during the sessions call +1 888-534-2408 to contact a technician supporting the meeting. If this can't be resolved you will be connected via telephone but only listen in to the deliberations in the language of the floor

  • Recording: a video recording will be available 48 hours after each session
