​In response to decision XXVI/8 on measures to facilitate the monitoring of trade in HCFCs and substituting substances, the European Union introduced specific customs codes for HFCs and HFC containing blends. These codes, contained in Chapters 29 and 38 of the EU Combined Nomenclature, apply since 1 January 2016:
